Fred Perry 5212, Celebrating 60 Years of Fred Perry
Between 1952 and 2012, a succession of subcultures has embraced the Fred Perry style — Mods, Skinheads, Suedeheads, Rude Boys, Northern Soul, Two Tone, Brit Pop, Indie and a long line of musical heroes and heroines, from Weller to Winehouse, have all worn the laurel with pride.
To celebrate this important landmark in the history of the Fred Perry label, the original 1952 shirt is being reproduced from imagery and illustrations discovered in the company archives. To compliment it, we created fanzines that were distributed as well as to promoting the 60 years event.
Other works involved designing personal invites, promotional marketing materials such as flyers, poster bombing and a quarterly issued Fred Perry Subculture fanzine.
