A day in contact with water

Travels in the Sensorium are a series of information graphic posters that depicts the journey of ‘a day in contact with water.’ The visual maps are a series of five infographic images based around the topic ‘a day in contact with water.’ Through research and data collection, developments have been made around the theme of “Synaesthesia.” The visual maps are based around this idea of how one sense triggers another sense, and how each sense is interrelated coherently. There are five senses that we feel all around us. These sense are those of touch, smell, sight, taste, and sound.


A day in contact with water


The concept of movement has been used to show the flow of the five senses derived from the movement a Spirograph creates. The data collected has been represented using lines from each time of the day to the next i.e. every time that contact with water has been made. The different shades of the lines show the number of senses involved in executing each sense.
